The Two year associates degree starts during the Fall Term. The one-year certificate for an Electronics Technician starts during the Fall Term. The one-year certificate for a PC Microprocessor Systems Technician starts during the Winter Term.
A wonderful class to take to see if you are interested in a career in electronics is the EET101- Introduction to Electronics. It is a three credit class that provides an opportunity for students to get some hands-on experience with the instrumentation and equipment and learn some of the principles that allow us to control devices that use electricity. This class can also apply as a technical elective in some program areas ... or: EET110 - Electronics Drafting, Packaging, and Test Instrumentation. It is a five credit course that provides an opportunity to learn about electronic component identification, electronic drafting (hand and CAD), and explore the different packaging and wiring technologies. Students gain experience soldering skills, circuit board development, and basic electronic test instrumentation. |
